Land Manor Program Guidelines

Our program guidelines help create a safe, respectful, and structured recovery environment for everyone. All clients are expected to follow these guidelines throughout their stay.

 

Daily Expectations

Personal Hygiene

Clients must maintain proper hygiene each day, including:

  • Daily showering

  • Use of deodorant

  • Clean clothing

  • Shaving or maintaining neatly groomed facial hair

If you need hygiene supplies, please ask staff.

 

Personal Cleanliness

Clients must keep their rooms and personal spaces clean and organized. Laundry facilities are available and must be used during assigned times.

 

Respect & Conduct

Recovery requires mutual respect between clients and staff.

The following behaviors are not permitted:

  • Verbal arguments or threats

  • Physical altercations

  • Aggressive behavior toward others

All disagreements must be handled respectfully.

 

Participation in Treatment

Participation in treatment activities is required.

Your schedule may include:

  • Group counseling

  • Individual counseling

  • Educational groups

  • Assignments

  • Recovery activities

Optional activities will be clearly noted on your schedule.

 

Safety & Supervision

For the safety of all clients:

  • Clients may not leave the facility, groups, or activities without staff permission

  • Clients may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing

  • Weapons of any kind are strictly prohibited

 

Privacy Rules

To protect the privacy of all clients:

  • Clients may not enter another client’s bedroom without permission

  • Photography, video, or audio recording is not permitted

Privacy laws prohibit sharing personal health information without written consent.

 

Medication Policy

Clients must follow their prescribed medication instructions.

 

Clients may not keep medications in their possession, including:

  • Prescription medications

  • Over-the-counter medications

  • Vitamins or supplements

All medications are stored in the medication room and administered by staff. Misuse or attempted misuse of medications is prohibited.

 

Dress Code

Clients must wear appropriate clothing at all times.

Not permitted:

  • Torn or damaged clothing

  • Transparent or revealing clothing

  • Clothing promoting drugs or alcohol

 

Hats must be removed when entering buildings. Assistance is available for clients with limited clothing resources.

 

Food & Snacks

Food and drinks are not allowed in bedrooms or offices (water is permitted).

Snacks are allowed in the group room, provided they do not disrupt instruction.

 

Clients must clean up after themselves.

 

Personal Food Storage

Clients may purchase snacks that:

  • Do not require refrigeration

  • Do not contain alcohol or drugs

  • Do not include heavily caffeinated energy drinks

 

Food must be clearly labeled and stored in assigned pantry bins. Unlabeled food may be discarded during weekly cleaning.

 

Electronics

Personal electronics capable of internet access are not permitted.

Not allowed:

  • Cell phones

  • Laptops or computers

  • Tablets

 

Cell phones brought to admission will be secured and returned upon discharge.

 

Visitation

Family involvement can support recovery.

 

Visiting Hours

Sunday
1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Visitors must attend the mandatory 1:00 PM orientation.

 

Visitor Approval

Visitors must be approved by the client’s counselor prior to visitation. Appeals may be made to the Clinical Manager.

 

Visitor Expectations

Visitors must:

  • Be clean and sober

  • Remain in approved common areas

  • Avoid bedrooms or private areas

 

Visitors suspected of intoxication may be asked to complete drug or alcohol screening.

 

Items Brought During Visits

All items are subject to search.

 

Allowed:

  • Pre-packaged food

  • Restaurant food purchased the same day

 

Not allowed:

  • Homemade food

  • Drugs or alcohol

  • Gambling items

  • Pornographic materials

 

Transportation

Transportation is provided for essential appointments, including medical needs.

Clients with approved privileges may arrange transportation with:

  • Family members

  • Sponsors

  • Public transportation

 

Clients in intensive residential care may not leave without supervision.
